I work in cinemas, so i need a decent light that's both bright and discreet, so I can both see what I'm working on without lighting up the whole room and spilling light into the other cinemas.
So i reach out onto a couple of groups telling them what I need, what I'm going to be using it for, and what my budget is, and what I've found within that budget that looks ok.
A week or 2 goes by with some good suggestions, some not so good, and then there's the Olight cult that say spend double your budget and get the perun mini. I look at it, it's a great light, I think, "I'd love it, but it's just more than I have to spend"
So I break the news to the EDC groups that I just don't have the mula to get the olight. Next thing I know I get a message from one of the Olight cult asking for my address cause he has a perun mini for me for free, I just have to buy the accessories for it myself.
I’m blown away by the generosity of this, and tell all my friends what this guy has done for me.
Fast forward to the next Olight sale and I’m entering all the give aways and send the links to one of my friends, next think I know his wife won’t talk to me cause he spent so much on the sale.
Turns out I’m one of THOSE Olight guys.
Anyway, it’s great here, try the coffee, and don’t forget your obulbs on the way out.
