Where it all started.
In late 2020 I ordered 3 well regarded keychain lights online. My keys were for a long time a pain point among the things I carried each day. I'd had some lights I liked in the past, but they had all had problems, either running on 3 teeny tiny batteries that meant my light was never really anywhere as well as it could, or usb that was too big and had disappointingly died.
Of the 3 I ordered last year, 1 was a good light, but too large for my keys, it became a very specific work edc. 1 was hilariously bright, but had a frustrating ui and had a port cover that may as well have not been there at all. And then there was the i1r2. small, rugged, no exposed port, plenty of light, a ui that doesn't need to be explained or thought about. it found a home on my keys immediately. It became my most recommended light immediately. But it also did one other very important thing, it made me buy more Olights, and now I have a modest collection teeming with fun and exciting special editions that all get their fair share of use.
