My Olight Survived A Fire!!
It all happened back when I had it just begun collecting torches. My pride and joy (and brightest light) was an S1R Baton Turbo S. One evening I was fanning a bonfire with a cardboard box, with my Olight in my hand. And by accident it flew out of my hand and into the fire! I immediately grabbed a rake and began taking coals out to find it, but as the fire was about 2 Meyers across and a metre high it took a good five minutes to find it and rake it out. When I did it was still weakly glowing but very hot, so I threw it in a bucket of water. I didn't know that the fire had melted a hole in the TIR optics lens, but as it had it then filled the light with water. Amazingly though, after a day soaking in rice it started up again, and has worked perfectly on the original battery ever since! I'm now a volunteer firefighter with the RFS, and carry a Warrior X Pro while attending to incidents and hazard reductions.
